So I managed to listen to Madonna's new album "Confessions on a Dancefloor" in its entirety two weeks early, and....at the risk of Madonna lovers sending me straight to hell- I have to say it was really dissapointing.
All in all the songs all kinda sound the same, except for her first single Hung Up. How did I come to this conclusion you ask? If it were a old school cassette and you were fast forwarding between songs, you wouldnt be able to know when you were on a new track.
Secondly- the lyrics for some of the songs are pretty much dumb as hell. For example: "I dont like cities, but i love New York. Other places...make me feel like a dork. If you dont like my attitude, then you can EHF off. Just go to Texas, isnt that where they golf"........ummm does the last line even rhyme?
So in short- I had hope for a new/ innovative/ funky album from the "Queen of Pop" but she failed to deliver-yet AGAIN. "American Life" got played on my CD player twice. Im sure "Confessions..." will still sell well, buy i'm just glad I got an early listen.
And no im not a hater- im just stating my opinion and keeping it real.
